4th Expressive Psychotherapy Session Held with College and University Students of Chattogram

A daylong expressive psychotherapy session focusing on the psychosocial well-being of female students was held at Caritas Hall, Chattogram. The session brought together 20 female students from various colleges and universities, creating a safe and interactive space to share experiences and strengthen resilience.

The session was conducted by Obaidul Islam Munna, Expressive Psychotherapist of BTTI, who used theatre-based therapeutic tools, group dialogue, and creative exercises to help participants release emotional stress, overcome trauma, and rebuild confidence.

Participants actively engaged in art activities, interactive theatre exercises, and group discussions where they reflected on personal experiences of harassment and social pressures. They also developed messages of courage, self-empowerment, and collective resistance against gender-based violence.

Organized under UTSA’s ongoing initiative on psychosocial support for young women, the session highlighted the importance of mental well-being as a foundation for education, leadership, and empowerment.

The session was organized by UTSA with the support of Free Press Unlimited, Article 19, and the European Union, in collaboration with Dataful, Sangbad, and Suprovat.
