Chattogram, 18 September 2025:UTSA organized a Knowledge Sharing Session focusing on innovative approaches to address violence against women (VAW) through open data, anonymous reporting, and digital advocacy tools. The event brought together development workers, media representatives, educators, students, and civil society members in Chattogram. Many incidents of violence against women in Bangladesh still remain unreported. Fear of exposure, legal complications, and social stigma often prevent survivors from lodging complaints with the authorities. To provide a safe and confidential alternative, the online reporting platform aamarkotha.com has been launched. On 28 August 2025, UTSA organized an orientation session at the Department of Women Affairs Auditorium in Chattogram to introduce the platform to the community.
